Which is faster- car, MBTA, or bicycle? Come to Union Square Tuesday evening to see the result in the annual Rush Hour Race. There are two extra awesome things about this event:

• Unlike so many bike events, this one does not require you to wake up super early
• Because of the unique evening timing (and beer) I will be at this event. I will have a pop-up shop there with lots of stuff like my book on how to bike. Please say hi.

May 2 & 3rd I will be having a spring open studio! I’ll have my “Bike There” mini comic book available which is a great resource for beginning bicyclists and timely since May is Bike Month! I’ll also have framed/unframed prints & posters, t-shirts, and the very last 2 “I Biked” canvas bags that are left.

Also, Dill Pickle Gear will be in the same room for one stop bikey shopping. This is part of Somerville Open Studios where there will be hundreds of artists across the city opening their studios (and 70 other artists in my building alone) so make a day of it!

On December 6th and 7th, I will be having a special open studios just in time for holiday shopping- I’ll have my “Bike There” mini comic book, framed/unframed prints & posters, t-shirts, and the last of the “I Biked” canvas bags before they sell out.

In just over a week, I will be at MICE (Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo) in Cambridge, MA. But adding to the excitement, I will be debuting the first Bikeyface BOOK at MICE! (Well it’s technically a mini-comic but still a book-shaped object with multiple pages with pictures on them.) The book will be available first at MICE, so if you’re in the Boston area you should stop by. Also check out some other amazing artists and workshops while you’re there:

May 3rd & 4th, I’ll be participating in Somerville Open Studios this weekend along with 400 other artist in the city- a large enough event to warrant a continuously operating trolley to carry you around. (Or you could just bike.) I’ll have posters, framed prints, t-shirts. Stop by and say hello!

I will be giving a TEDx talk at TEDxSomerville On March 30th.

TEDxSomerville is a day-long event celebrating the exciting ideas, art, initiatives, inventions, community, and other Movements that relate to and spring from Somerville. This year, the theme is “Movement.” Speakers, artists and musicians from around the community will share their passions, talents and ideas with a diverse group of attendees.

TEDxSomerville is taking place at Brooklyn Boulders at 12A Tyler Street, in Somerville (of course). Tickets are now on sale.
