New Mini-Comic Book: Bike There

IMG_9609

Announcing the first Bikeyface book, Bike ThereBike There is a 24 page mini-comic on how to bike around a city. The mini-comic is an introduction to transportation bicycling that was inspired by this original post for bike curious and new bicyclists (as well as any other bicyclists who love to laugh, bike, and share the lifestyle.)

The comic contains some illustrations that have appeared online as well as new ones. All illustrations have been updated and rendered in full color. And while there are many bicycling guides out there, Bike There is a little more humorous and a little less stuffy. You can get it here!

Did you bike?

You’re probably tired of the question because of course you did.

When the bike question is not asked you know people assume you drove- especially the vocal few who fight bike lanes to preserve car parking for customers.  So when you shop, put your groceries in this bag, new in the Bikeyface store:

“Yes I Biked” canvas bag in the Poppy color

The artwork is printed on to a BAGGU Duck Bag made with 100% 16 oz. recycled cotton canvas with durable taped seams and matte silver hardware. The bag is very, strong, high quality and great for carrying things or folded up out of sight. I selected this bag because I’ve been using one for shopping for several years now.

One of it’s great practical features are the short handles that make it easy to carry by hand:

“Yes I Biked” canvas bag in poppy color, now available in the Bikeyface store!

It also has an adjustable shoulder strap that can makes it easy to carry or wear as cross-body bag if your basket or panniers are already full. Inside you will find a pocket for your keys and phone. Also, both the bag & pocket snap shut.

New: Fine Art Color Prints

New in the Bikeyface store are several color 8×10″ fine art prints. All are archival and printed on 100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish. Both the paper and the color quality has a lovely watercolor feel.

The images have been taken from past posts and been updated and colorized. I hope to add more images periodically.

New- Bikeyface Store!

It’s always been easy to have a bikeyface on your bike. But now you can have a Bikeyface indoors. Introducing new Bikeyface posters, available in the new Bikeyface store:

Bikeyface 11×17 Happiness poster

Happiness

This poster was inspired by reading about the World Happiness Report. The happiest nations are also the most bikey. Is that really that surprising?

Bikeyface 18×24 Be Yourself poster

Just be yourself. On Wheels.

Because sometimes it seems many people think these two cyclists are on the road. I don’t know about you, but I see many other bicyclists out there these days. I created this poster to open everyone’s mind and invite more people to grab a bike, no spandex/skinny jeans required.

Bikeyface Open Studio

For those in the Boston area- I’ll be having an open studio event in December where you can buy in person:

Open Studios, Vernon Street Studios
December 7th & 8th, 12-6pm
6 Vernon Street, Studio 54, Somerville MA, 02145

While there, you’ll have a chance to view my non-Bikeyface art as well as visit many other artists’ studios.

As always, thanks for reading & supporting Bikeyface!
